Fresno, being the part of Fresno Metropolitan Area, is located in California, USA. The city was named after ash trees growing across the San Joaquin River. As the city is the economic hub of the whole Fresno Metropolitan area, there are lots of municipal buildings. Those are:

The Pacific Southwest Building was built in 1925 in the downtown of Fresno. The tower's spire is rising for 96 meters, which makes it the highest one in Los Angeles and San Francisco. It took eight months to build it, and the construction is now owned by Sevak, Beverly Hills-based developers, and brother Serko Khatchadourian.
The San Joaquin Light and Power Building or the Grand 1401 was constructed in 1923, and the building was later used as the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The building is regarded as the fourth largest building in Fresno.
The Fulton Mall located in the downtown of Fresno as well is a six-block mall. That area is a home for restaurants, shopping, bars, and public art centers. The pedestrian area was named after Fulton G. Berry after he died in 1910. During that time the mall hosted several retailers like Montgomery Ward, Woolworth, Gottschalks, and JCPenney.
The Sunnyside Country Club , the county club with several golf courses, is located in the Sunnyside area in Fresno. That is the oldest golf course in Fresno as it was built in 1911. Moreover, there are swimming pool, tennis courts, restaurant, and bar.
The Tower Theatre was officially opened on December 15, 1939, with the support of Fox West Coast Theater Corporation.
The California State University is one of the 23 campuses of California State University. On the territory of the university, there are on-campus planetarium, wine grape vineyards, and a commercial winery that allowed the students to win over 300 awards for making wine. The Henry Madden Library is the central spot where the students might get the information or concentrate on the tasks.
The Fresno City College is a community college in Fresno that was established in 1910. It is a member of the State Center Community College District (SCCD) organization. The college has two sister colleges are Reedley College located in Reedley, California, and Clovis Community College located in northeastern part of Fresno. There are also the Oakhurst Center and the Madera Center on the territory of the campus, which are targeted to the foothill facilities.
The Woodward Park is one of the three largest parks in Fresno. The majority of the land was donated to the park by Ralph Woodward. The park hosts the CIF Cross Country State Championships marathons that take place every November. The Woodward Shakespeare Festival that is the theatre company that does three Shakespeare plays each year in Fresno only. That campaign held about 311 performances already, and that will be the 11th season. There is also the Schengen Friendship Garden, which is a small Japanese-style garden that was opened in 1981.
